Granite City Food & Brewery Promotes Eric Laclair to Vice President of Operations

MINNEAPOLIS (BUSINESS WIRE), July 20, 2006 - Granite City Food & Brewery Ltd. (Nasdaq:GCFB) announced today that company veteran, Eric Laclair, has been promoted to Vice President of Operations.

Laclair, who had been the company's first District Operations Manager for its Iowa and Nebraska region, has been with Granite City Food & Brewery since its inception.

"Over the years, Granite City has developed its own culture, product specifications and standards of operations of which Mr. Laclair has helped create and implement. Eric has been with us since inception, including the development stages of these standards, and is now well positioned to help us continue to grow strong, consistent operations."

Granite City Food & Brewery Ltd. currently operates 14 Granite City Food & Brewery casual dining restaurants featuring made-from-scratch food and handcrafted beers. Its first Granite City opened in St. Cloud, MN in June 1999.
